Sino-Nepal courtship

The Rising Nepal Daily interviews His Excellency Yang Houlan, China’s new ambassador to Nepal. Nothing out of the ordinary. Asked about Tibet Yang answers:

Tibet is now undergoing the best period of developing in history featuring development of economy, stability of society, happiness of living and unity of all ethnic groups. And all Tibetan people, under the leadership of the Central Government and with the support of the whole country, will surely create a more brighter future.

But then, out of the blue, this:

Nepal and Tibet are close neighbors with cultural similarities, and the enthusiasm of exchanges between Nepalese and Tibetans is high. We should strengthen the friendly exchanges of culture, education, youth, women and many other fields to enhance mutual understanding.

Exchanging women to forge alliance… A typo or something lost in translation? Anyway, reminds me of Levi-Strauss.
