Eight Seconds: A glimpse of noise on the nightly Karakorum Highway

Late August on the Karakorum Highway, near lake Karakol. Snow has fallen earlier today. The tourist yurts along the lake are cold and mostly deserted. Lights are few and far in between. Every few minutes a 40-ton truck passes by. Its headlines leave a track of light on my sensor, a visual representation of the rattle that cuts through the night.
